I've had a great run designing, building, and fabricating the D4 Portaledge, including the Delta 2p designs, created by legendary big wall climber and outdoor gear innovator, John Middendorf (aka "Deucey").
I have been building world class portaledges since the A5 Adventures days starting in the late 1980s. After John's passing in June 2024, things were never quite the same.
As such, I've decided to wind things down and focus on my fly fishing, model building, and being a "home daddy" here in Durango with my family (including three dogs and a kitty).
It's been a fun climb! I deeply appreciate all the support over all these many years from my customers, partners, colleagues, and friends.
THANK YOU!
Barry Ward
